J.P. Nerbun is a mentor, writer, coach, and sports consultant. He was a multisport athlete, but basketball was always his first love. He followed his passion for the game to the University of South Carolina, where he was part of the 2006 NIT Championship team, winning that tournament in Madison Square Garden. He moved to Ireland after college and finished his education at the University of Limerick, one of the top universities in Europe for sports education. He coached over 12 years, at the professional level, collegiate level, and the high school level. He has coached in Ireland, Lithuania, as well as in Tennessee and Pennsylvania.
In 2017, J.P. founded the Thrive On Challenge as a blog, and it quickly grew into a sports consultancy practice. Since its founding, the Thrive On Challenge has served coaches, athletes, and parents across the world, at every level and in every sport.
