Will there be a crypto winter in 2022?

Will there be a crypto winter in 2022?

In this week's CoinMarketRecap podcast with Connor Sephton, we take a look at what's in store for the crypto markets over the next 12 months.

Historically, Bitcoin has operated in four-year cycles: 2013, 2017 and 2021 all delivered exceptional gains, while 2014 and 2018 suffered crypto winters. Is 2022 going to follow this pattern… or are bull cycles beginning to lengthen? CoinMarketCap's Molly Jane Zuckerman gives us her perspective.

Bloomberg Intelligence's senior commodity strategist Mike McGlone also explains why he believes it's "a question of time" before Bitcoin hits $100,000 — and whether the crypto markets will suffer an impact as the Federal Reserve turns off the money taps.

Plus, he tells us why so-called "Ethereum killers" such as Cardano and Solana may be at a disadvantage in 2022.

This is the final episode of the current series, and we'll be back on January 14. You can find us on Twitter — @ConnorSephton and @CoinMarketCap.

Friday’s Episode w Connor and MaryJane

Hi Guys, I love the podcast but I gotta call out your Crypto.com and the K Kardashian / Roy Jones segments when your own sites houses over 9k coins which are not being vetted according to the listing criteria published on your website. We were looking at one the other day called Bitecoin, the deception reads “don’t worry we control the price so the charts will always be Green”. MollyJane had a great point that In order for Crypto to go mainstream. Don’t you think with CMC?
