Episode 17: Super Hero Kids & How They’re Saving Preschoolers-Young Adults Tell me something good!

“It’s too late to be uncomfortable talking about sex & sexual abuse.” This quote is from a contributor on the promotional video for Super Hero Kids 2020.
DISCLAIMER:  We are talking about a real and raw story right off the bat.  It’s something you may or may not want young ears to hear before you have time time to hear it first.
***If you have not watched it already, I strongly recommend you pause now, and go watch it first.  I promise it will help you understand this conversation more. Here’s the link… https://vimeo.com/449970815 (password if needed: SHK)
I cannot begin to tell you just how incredibly uncomfortable I was talking about this topic.  Thank goodness my good friend, Chris Denton, pushed me.
She pushed me to get past the “ick” I felt when talking about it.  She encouraged me to understand it more, and I am so thankful she did.
That ick feeling has now turned into an urge to help spread the word and for more parents, caretakers, and schools to know about Super Hero Kids and their mission to: fund evidence-based programs to teach students, grades pre-K - 12 action-based skills to prevent the trauma of sexual assault. Students learn how to "Get away and tell!" and age-appropriate life-long personal safety skills.
