A Place to Grow in Christ and Serve the World
Full disclosure: I'm one of the minister's wives. But as a result of being family, I hear the sermon, not once, but twice every Sunday. And I actually like these sermons enough to do so. Even when it's not my husband preaching. So far, I've listened to Danielle Jones, Anne-Marie Finsaas, Jeff Lindsay, and Daniel Harrell and they've all delivered thought-provoking, sometimes funny, sermons. These preachers aren't really "three points starting with the letter P" people, but more narrative in their arrangement. Their voices are pitched well for extended listening. Their topics are ones that I want to think about. Their handling of Scripture is orthodox, but not boring. Their delivery is personable. I've studied preaching myself, so I tend toward the critical end of the listening spectrum, but so far, so good even for this nit-picker.
Awesome that these are podcasted
My wife Kaley is a member at Colonial and we can't always make it to the Sunday services due to her health concerns. I'm glad that I can still hear God's Word as told by Rev. Dr. John Westfall and the gang.
Rev. Westfall: Keep up the great work. I'm so glad you're part of our community.
