Color Speak Season 2, Episode 18, The Call to Courage with J. M. Huxley

Color Speak Season 2, Episode 18, The Call to Courage with J. M. Huxley

I think sometimes we forget we are called to courage.

Not just faith, not just trust, but courage. And though the word courage is a noun, it implies action.
Faith without action is like a body without spirit, James, the brother of Jesus reminds us.

Without courage, our faith is meaningless.

    Courage is a commandment.

    Courage is color.

If our God is light, and light produces color, color testifies.

    To so many things.

Today, it's courage. God put it on my heart to talk about it, and I hope I am able to encourage you to it.

It's time to kick things up a notch.

Jesus doesn’t need me to be courageous. But if I don’t answer his calls on my life, He will find someone else willing.
And I will have missed my opportunity to be as worthy as those who've spoken and stood up for Him in all matters.  I will have missed the chance to partner with Him here on earth.
Moreover, if I reduce my God to one who is unwilling or worse, incapable, of coming to my defense in ALL situations where I represent Him, I have become idolatrous. I have reduced the God of the universe to impotence!

He's calling His children to be courageous in this hour.  He's gathering His troops for His glory days.

Are you willing to partner with Him?

Are you willing to be courageous?
    ***
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” ~ Joshua 1:9

Color Speak Season 2, Episode 16, Taking Thoughts Captive for Wellness, with PA Allison Rollston

Color Speak Season 2, Episode 16, Taking Thoughts Captive for Wellness, with PA Allison Rollston

Are you speaking life over yourself, or is it death?

Are you thinking thoughts of wellness, or destruction?

You can't have it both ways.

Our thoughts and words carry power. We direct our present and future by what we choose to think and say.

That's right, what we choose for ourselves matters.

We must be intentional with our thoughts my friends. We must walk in the power that's been given us and that happens by talking back to negative thoughts and by taking them captive. They aren't life.

We must think on the promises of God, the blessings over our lives. We must focus on and live in His love. This is what having the mind of Christ is all about.

The mind of Christ is love. And life.

It's high time we think it, believe it, and speak it.

    What we think on grows.

We can affirm and expand good by keeping our focus where it should be.

When we focus our minds on the enemy's plans, we become victims. When we focus on our minds on our Savior's plans for us--the ones he paid for with his blood, we are victorious!

For the Love, let's renew our minds on Jesus.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. ~ John 4:18

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2

"Then I heard a loud voice saying, 'Now salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethern, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they OVERCAME him by the blood of the Lamb and by the WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY, and they did not love their lives to the death. Therefore rejoice O heavens, and you who dwell in them!" ~ Revelation 12:10-12 (NKJ)

Color Speak, Season 2, Episode 14, Inner Healing RESET with Anna Moore

Color Speak, Season 2, Episode 14, Inner Healing RESET with Anna Moore

Those buzz words are back again:

    Inner.

    Healing.

When you hear them used together, do they exite you or worry you? Do they cause you anticipation or consternation?

Maybe they cause you to roll your eyes to the back of your head. Maybe you dismiss them as phooey and nonsense.

If the latter is true, you may be missing an opportunity to connect deeply with the Holy Spirit.

We've all been hurt in MANY places, intentionally and unintentionally. Those hurts  keep us from enjoying the work of the Lord in our lives.
BUT, there is a deep place you can access to be with your healing Savior. There is a revelation there for restoration with Jesus.

Sometimes you can access this connection on your own. Other times you really need another person or a couple of people to help you move through that process.

Today will be a great day to listen in!

Color Speak, Season 2, Episode 13, Why Not Homeschool? Reflections on the End of a Season

Color Speak, Season 2, Episode 13, Why Not Homeschool? Reflections on the End of a Season

Last week Kirk Cameron released a documentary entitled The Homeschool Awakening for the purposes of encouraging parents to take control of the lives and destinies of their kids.

Maybe you have been thinking of doing that.

Maybe you already are teaching your kids at home.

Perhaps you have never considered such a thing but with the state of things, you want to hear what I have to say on the matter.

Or, you could have nothing else to do and you know God always stops down here so you'll have a listen.
Regardless, you are probably greatly concerned about where our future is headed, what with the lousy curriculum many public schools choose to use and the agendas many people who are supposed to care about the welfare of children are pushing.

My husband and I chose to homeschool in 2005, when it was way weirder than it is now. Actually, I think most people are begining to come around to the idea in 2022. It really isn't so weird anymore, for so many reasons.

But tonight is the end of our chapter.  Along with hundreds of others in the Kansas City area who chose to educate their children at home, we will graduate our youngest daughter from high school. What began at home  with her siblings led to many classes at several different academies and our local community college, but as far as the record shows, Gracie was home schooled and home grown.

Our oldest son, Taylor, is 33 now, so we've been graduating kids for a decade and a half. Not all were schooled at home. Three attended public school. One excusively. Five attended private school. None exclusively. The last two were strictly homeschooled. It was a process.

It seemed to take a while.

Kids got married. Grandchildren arrived. Kevin and I got older. We had ups and downs. But it was mostly good.

So, as I wrap up my own schooling experience, I got to thinking, it might be a good time to encourage you to choose to yours, if you can.

I'm not an advocate for doing anything a certain way, let me disclaim. I am an advocate for doing what is best for your family and for what fosters a closeness with Jesus.
I realize not every person is in a position to tackle their child’s education. But if you could, why not?

I will add that I did not address all of the wonderful resources, curriculum, and support available to those who are interested in this episode. Just know, if you are called to do this, our God will not only equip you, he will delight you.

As with anything, if it is something God wants you to do, and you give it your best, you cannot fail!
