Columboys is a podcast all about the rumpled, wood-paneled, murderous world of Lieutenant Columbo hosted by Mack and Ben. Mack has seen every episode and Ben is seeing them all for the very first time. Episodes are released every other Friday. Come along on an episodic journey through the 35 year history of this beloved series.

50 - Murder, a Self Portrait
Wait what's this? A new episode of Columboys?!? Yes! The Columboys are back one more time to record a replacement for the lost 50th episode!
-
69 - Columbo Likes the Nightlife
On this, the final episode of Columbo, Columbo must wade into the seedy made-for-tv world of early 2000s rave culture. Matthew Rhys stars as a club promoter who gets stuck in a web of murder to protect his club opening. Came along one last time with The Columboys as they watch ABC wring the last little bit of juice out of the Columbo property and say farewell to this beloved character.

68 - Murder With Too Many Notes
In the penultimate episode of Columbo, Billy Connoly plays a murderous film composer who's hatched the perfect melody... for MURDER.
Okay maybe that doesn't make any sense but then neither does this episode of Columbo. -
67 - Ashes to Ashes
It's the final return of Columboys favorite Patrick McGoohan in the directing and starring roles. In this Modernish Classic episode of Columbo, McGoohan plays a funeral home director who murders beloved Golden Girls star Rue McClanahan to protect his reputation. We've all thought about it, but only Patrick had the guts to actually go through with it!
-
66 - A Trace of Murder
We're back from our brief and unannounced hiatus! In this episode the wife of a crooked millionaire and a forensic pathologist conspire to frame the husband for murder. Can the Columboys figure it out before Columbo? They show you who did it in the beginning so I certainly hope so! Mack looks at his phone a lot but I mean come on, dude.
-
65 - Strange Bedfellows
George Wendt plays a horse breeder who murders his irresponsible brother and pins it on a mob bookie. Can Columbo catch this criminal without breaking numerous laws and getting help from the actual mafia? Apparently not! We're in the home stretch! Only five episode of Columbo left!

Well done!
Very bright and funny bring intelligent and amusing banter to Columbo fans. ...Unnecessary profanity detracts.
The best Columbo podcast
I love the rapport between Mack and Ben, and they always pick out the weird quirks and episodes, and also aspects of tone and casting that don’t travel well (whether it’s the tacky erotic 90s, casual sexism of the writers, or just bad stereotyping). They’re a very likeable duo.
But ultimately, they have a respect for and love of Columbo, and the repertory company of actors, and that’s what they aim to bring to the podcast. If it’s a great episode, they say why. And if it’s a really bad Columbo episode, they will be equally honest in their assessment.
Mack and Ben notice little details, which may or may not go over your head on a first watch. Their humor and insight on plots *and* plot holes are heads above the other Columbo podcasts, which feel flat in comparison. And their analysis of 1970s fashion is a fun twist.
Good conversations, really enjoyed your podcast
I’m really enjoying your podcast! I’m a big fan of Columbo and have listened to other podcasts, but have to say this is my favorite now. I think you just hit on the most interesting points if the episodes, characters and overall entertainment of the series. So glad I found you, wish I had found you earlier! I might not be able to get to all of your episodes now because they might be taken down, but I’ll enjoy whatever I can. Thanks for the fun!!
