The student speaker at the 2011 Commencement Exercises was Kansas native Michelle Pomeroy, a recipient of a bachelor's degree from NYU's College of Arts and Science (where she majored in both journalism and religious studies and was a Presidential Honors Scholar) who is enrolled in the joint BA/MPA program with NYU's Robert F.
