Great informational podcast!

I’m glad I found this show! Every episode has tons of fun distinctions between American and Scottish language, culture and surprisingly well researched raw information.

An interesting idea from an entertaining couple

Gavin and Helen are friends of mine, and always good company, so I was excited to hear this podcast. The etymology of British and American English is fascinating, especially when backed up by anecdotes and characters from the couple's lives which really give it context and colour. As a recent immigrant to the US, (the Scot) Gavin does a great job of picking out the idiosyncracies of the American and British versions of the English language, while (the American) Helen regales non-Brits with her own insights, experiences, and love of jammie dodgers!
Highly recommended.
