Episode 19: Rachel Nelson & Casey Wolfington / A Local's Story on Grief

Vail Valley native Rachel Nelson joins the show, along with Dr Casey Wolfington, to talk about what it was like growing up in this area, her many years as a professional snowboarder, the tragic loss of her best friend Josh Malay, and how that led her on a spiritual journey of self transformation that would eventually bring her to all her current work as a well known yoga teacher, life coach, and holistic grief counselor.  During our conversation Rachel talks about what it was like being one of the only female snowboard competitors in the early years of the sport, how that led to a partying lifestyle that she had to learn to let go of, and the sudden loss of a close friend and how that prepared her for the painful loss of her first son later in life.  Rachel has dedicated her life to helping others, whether through her work as a yoga teacher, or as a life coach and a holistic grief counselor.  You can find out more about her by following her on instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/rachelnelson_/

Important content

Please fix the accelerated dialogue. I know two of these people so it was disturbing to hear their voices so sped up. This is such important work and a great concept.
