Compassion this Christmas - Nothing Matters More than You - Meet Chaney Mullins Gooley of Her Plan Single Parent Advocate Podcast

    • Parenting

Chaney joins us and discusses how she had a change of heart after meeting a single mom in a class she was taking.  She turned from judgement to compassion as it relates to seeing what single parents face in life.  She says, "No matter the journey, there HAS to be support - there HAS to be a safety net".

She encourages single parents to ask for help and wants us to remember that we are NOT a burden and should not carry shame when life gets tough and we need assistance for ourselves and our children. In fact, she says, "Well Done" if you have asked for help.  And, now she is a part of Her Plan that is helping connect providers and create a common place where help can be made more accessible for single parents (particularly of young children).

Here is her bio:
She was Her Plan’s first hire in 2019, coming from her work in the women’s healthcare sphere, where she saw firsthand the need for comprehensive care and service coordination.

In her role as Program Manager for Her PLAN, Chaney helps facilitate national provider engagement, connection to national training resources for assistance providers, and Her PLAN’s presence at national conferences. She also assists in the directory building process as Her PLAN expands to more states.
