Episode 9: Chronicles of Crime
Chronicles of Crime is a game where 1 to 4 players will be working together to solve crimes set in modern day London. It uses scan & play technology, so you can take a look around VR crime scenes and scan QR codes to interrogate suspects.
In the podcast, we do a spoiler-free review of the base game, share our initial thoughts of the Noir expansion, and discuss just how well it plays at a two player count. -

Episode 7: Why Do We Board Game?
Competitive Couple Charlotte and Jamie share their first impressions of Star Wars Rebellion, The Chameleon, and Roll Player. Charlotte tries to smash through all the headlines to hit the world of board gaming this month. And the duo dig in deep and discuss why people enjoy board games, exploring some of the reasons why we are drawn to the hobby, and some of the ways board gaming is good for you.

Episode 6: Board Game Themes
This month the podcast goes a bit meta, as the podcast is themed around…themes. Charlotte and Jamie share their thoughts on two Mars-themed games, Pocket Mars and Terraforming Mars. The regular feature Gullible Gamer is reversed, as Charlotte challenges Jamie to identify the fake Monopoly theme in a line-up. And the duo discuss all things theme – what themes are we drawn to? What themes are off-putting? And ultimately, what is more important to us, theme or mechanic?
