Discover independent clubs that march to the beat of their own drum; music venues where experimental artsy shit thrives. A Great Podcast With A Unique Approach To Interviews

5/5. Concert Cast is a very unique, detailed dive into the holes-in-the-wall places you might find yourself over the course of an unforgettable night out.

First of all, I love how each episode starts with highlighted snippets. It gives a great preview of what to expect while shedding light on the humanity and the “behind the scenes” of these amazing artists and live music scenes.

Kyle also dives much farther than the music and the artists behind them, and begins with the “who” before the “what”. It’s refreshing to hear band interviews where we get to know who these people are and what their journey was like leading up to their recognition. I’ve found so much that I can relate to with these other artists. It’s also incredibly cool to get a “boots-on-the-ground” insight into what this whole process is like for Kyle and to get a feel of the vibe of these scenes that I (living in a small town) wish I was able to taste for myself.

To top it off, these interviews feel very organic. Unlike most band and personal spotlights that you find, nothing about Kyle’s conversations with these people feels forced, unwanted, scripted, or “business”. It’s obvious that there’s a genuine interest and that these conversations were a lot of fun to have. I can only imagine what their personal dynamics were like off mic.

As a final note, I have to say that Kyle has great taste. Honestly, I hadn’t heard of many of these bands before, but now I’ve got a nice addition to my personal Spotify playlists.

Long story short: I’ve never heard a music-centric podcast like this before, and I’m hooked. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves music, and I can’t wait to share it with my fellow audiophiles.

LOVED Check Check One Two with 76th Street!!! Kyle always does such a great job of catching all the compelling details and making the audience feel like you’re right there with her! Really enjoyed finding out the nitty gritty of what it takes to be successful in Nashville with Haley and Spencer 💖

My new favorite podcast

I was completely hooked the moment it started. I felt like I was hanging out with Haley and Spencer and this was such a cool way to get to know them on a much more personal level. I had no idea all that went into performing in Nashville and can't wait to continue following their journey!
