THREE BEAUTIFUL FACES, ONE DRAMATIC DESTINY! She was born Kara of Krypton?s Argo City, but spent her formative years on Earth under the guidance of her famous older cousin, Superman. Now she is the equally celebrated Supergirl, aka college Freshman Linda Lee Danvers. Sharing the same amazing super-powers as the Man of Steel, she aids all mankind and fights a never-ending battle for truth and justice. But life as an orphan has left Linda ill-prepared for adolescent social challenges, and a first date with the boy of her dreams has this heroine?s head in the clouds! Fun and endearing, but with some serious psychological underpinnings, CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE SUPERGIRL is the first filmed attempt to portray the Girl of Steel as a real person raised in relatable, Earthly surroundings. With both personal and cosmic challenges facing her at every turn, Supergirl must balance heroic responsibility with day-to-day living, keeping all three sides of her personality in check. And what?s this mysterious, deadly dangerous Dark Figure emerging from Linda?s troubled subconscious? CONFESSIONS OF A TEENAGE SUPERGIRL was produced and directed by 16 year-old Dan Nastro, an award-winning filmmaker and lifelong DC Comics fan. It was written by Gary Gerani, co-creator of Stan Winston?s PUMPKINHEAD and a noted movie and television scholar. Portraying the Girl of Steel is fresh-faced, multi-talented newcomer Katie Norris, who also performs and provides the lyrics/melody for our music video, ?The Three Faces of Kara.?

Good considering the source...

This is obviously a high school production shot on relatively cheap video cameras with little to no resources. Considering such, i think they did a wonderful job. I never did anything with such relatively high production values when i was in high school! I look forward to future episodes, but i have two big criticisms: First, why is supergirl's hair not blonde? She goes from Light brown as Kara to Dark brown as Linda.
Second and much more importantly, it's sad to see Linda as such a mousey timid weakling. The current supergirl in the comics is in your face, and she wouldn't take any crap from some stupid pretty boy. She shouldn't be such a pushover! Even if she does have a crush!

The Greatest (Supergirl) Story Ever Told...

I thought that this is the best story of Supergirl ever told! I didn't even realize that the director is (or was) only 16 when the film was released. Sure the production values weren't the best, but it was much better than most of the fan films I've seen on the web. The story is what held me and how it was told...Supergirl was very sympathetic and you immeadiately fall in love with her and feel sorry for her. I wish the comic books or Warner Bros. could catch wind of this movie so they could do something like this!
