What on Earth is Web 3.0? A Skeptic's Guide

What on Earth is Web 3.0? A Skeptic's Guide

There’s so much talk about cryptocurrency, blockchain, social tokens, NFTs and the metaverse. Put these together and you get what some people are calling Web 3.0.

But what on earth is all of this? Is this a new dawn in humanity - a new technology that is going to revolutionise how we all live? Or is this a bit like the Emporer’s New Clothes - some supposedly new and exciting thing that amounts to nothing?

In this episode, I’m going to attempt to dig into Web 3.0 from a beginners’ perspective - a skeptic’s guide. We’ll look at what underpins all of this - the blockchain. We’ll look at NFTs and more. And try and answer the question - what does all of this have to do with us, with our businesses and our marketing? Does it all even matter?

And, I’m very much at the start of my journey into all of this. I am a bit of a skeptic. But I’m also anxious not to be the guy in the 1990s that predicted that this “internet thing” was a passing fad. Let’s start this journey together!

Microphone Review: Best Mics for Live Video

Microphone Review: Best Mics for Live Video

It is easy to get overly obsessed with the video part of live video. The word “video” is in “live video” afterall!
    But what about the audio?
Audio is actually far more important than video. If your audience can’t hear you well, then they won’t bother to watch.
In this episode, I’m comparing microphones. The Heil PR-40, the Blue Yeti, and the Samson Q2U and Q9U. Let’s see which one wins?

Raise the Bar with Video and New Tech!

If you want to use video to improve the level of impact and authority in your industry, this is the podcast you should subscribe and listen to. Ian does a great job of pulling back the curtain and sharing what works, what doesn't, and what to keep your eye on moving forward. Speaking of moving forward, if you want to learn more about how to combine video with Web3 and the Metaverse, that’s the topic Ian and I dived into during our June 24, 2022 episode titled, “Introduction to Web3 and the Metaverse.” Enjoy! -Mitch Jackson (2013 California Litigation Lawyer of the Year)

Just what I needed!

I stumbled across Ian’s Podcast , But as I have been steadily preparing to launch multiple YouTube channels and podcasts, I couldn’t have found him at a better time. In just the last couple of days I have learned so much and filled in so many blanks In my knowledge, that I am now more confident than ever about going forward with all of my plans. I originally was planning to do pre-recorded stuff only, but now I think I will do a lot of live casting as well. And Ian is also rather entertaining, and I just love his attitude and as a fellow singer/songwriter, I love the silly jingles he makes for every episode.Keep up the great work Ian!
