Your Best is Yet to Come with Ahmad Imam

Your Best is Yet to Come with Ahmad Imam

In this episode of Connection Loop, Dubb founder Ruben Dua sat down with Ahmad Imam to discuss why your best is yet to come. In the interview, you will hear many different insights and ideas, including the following:

One great way to build up your confidence and courage is to put yourself in uncomfortable situations. Placing yourself in positions where you can challenge your fears will be scary. That said, it is the best way to overcome those fears and live the life that you want to live.
To accomplish your career goals, there are few better strategies than contacting and learning from mentors. Mentors can provide you with killer insights that can help you overcome obstacles on your path to success.
To have a mentor listen and respond to you, you must first give. Providing value first is a great way for that mentor to take time out of their busy schedule for you. Even though it may be difficult to offer value to the mentor, try to find any value that you can offer.
Be careful about where you are gathering advice. No matter your career goals, you want to receive and follow advice from people that have accomplished what you want to accomplish.
It really only takes one person to believe in you. That one person can provide a certain opportunity that can be a dramatic accelerant toward your career goals.

If you have hit a momentary obstacle in your business or are looking for a way to reach the next level, this interview is for you. We hope that you enjoy it!

How to Speak With Confidence & Deliver High-Impact Presentations with Ravi Rajani

How to Speak With Confidence & Deliver High-Impact Presentations with Ravi Rajani

No matter your experience level or career goals, there will come a time that you need to deliver high-impact presentations. Yet for many people, it can be a tall task to speak with confidence in front of a large audience. In this episode of Connection Loop, Ravi Rajani and Dubb founder Ruben Dua explored these topics of high-impact public speaking and delivering great presentations. Some of the insights that you’ll hear in this episode include the following:

One way to deliver great presentations is to envision that you are in the middle of a conversation with a friend. It is less mechanical and calculated and more authentic. Treat your audience like your lifelong friends and you will notice that you are delivering more effective presentations.
Don’t forget that life is a stage. We are always performing—even if we don’t recognize that we are. The good news is that since life is a stage, we always have an opportunity to improve. We just need to be deliberate and invest the time to do so.
Improv is a great experience to improve your presentation skills. Even though it may seem scary or intimidating at first, improv helps you get more comfortable with public speaking. You feel more natural on stage, which makes it much more likely that you’ll deliver high-impact presentations.
One of the hardest things to do is to deliver concise pitches. That being said, it is a critical way to not only clarify your own thinking, but keep your audience’s attention when pitching.
When delivering a presentation, always keep the audience in mind. Think about what they want to hear and what problems they’re facing in their lives. Doing this, you will be much closer to accomplishing your presentation goals.

Ultimately, this is a fantastic conversation for anyone who wants to improve their communication or presentation skills. There are plenty of actionable insights here that you can immediately incorporate into your own professional life.

Ravi Rajani helps leaders and entrepreneurs become more confident. He is the founder of Ravi Rajani Coaching and Consulting. Along with his work at his consulting firm, Ravi has years of experience acting in theatre and appearing on live television and radio.

How to Tell Engaging Stories on Video with Ariel Viera

How to Tell Engaging Stories on Video with Ariel Viera

In this episode of Connection Loop, Ruben Dua sat down with Ariel Viera to discuss everything related to telling engaging stories through video. In the conversation, you will hear plenty of important insights, including the following:

There are so many interesting things around the world to capture through video. Therefore, one of the best ways to create content is to get out of the building. All you need to do is use your phone and get in the habit of recording. You’ll be sure to capture some amazing things!
Sound is a really important part of creating content. When recording in an indoor place, for instance, try to turn off every type of equipment that can make noise. Doing so will make your audio clearer and provide a better experience for the viewer.
There’s value in creating distinct videos for yourself and for your audience. Doing this can keep you entertained and can improve the way that you create content for prospects and customers.
It’s important to be strategic when you are thinking about produced versus live video. Some platforms (like YouTube) are emphasizing live video more. Also, there’s potentially a lot more business to be made from live video.
Storytelling is difficult. Not everyone has the skill. That said, it can be sharpened over time. Keep at it—even if you feel like you aren’t getting far.

At Dubb, we believe that all businesses should leverage the power of video when marketing to their customers. Because of this, this episode of Connection Loop provides a wealth of ideas for content creators like you that are constantly thinking of ways to build long-term customer relationships. Hope you enjoy the discussion!

Ariel Viera is a video producer for Urbanist Media. Ariel is most well-known for using video to explore many different cities. His original platforms were Facebook and Instagram, but he now predominantly shares his creations on YouTube and TikTok. His work is extremely popular, as Ariel has gathered over 100,000 followers on TikTok alone.

Open Your Mind and Let Doubt Out with Randall Chesnutt

Open Your Mind and Let Doubt Out with Randall Chesnutt

In this episode of Connection Loop, you will hear an in-depth discussion of topics related to our subconscious minds. Ruben Dua sat down with Randall Chesnutt to exchange thoughts on a wide range of issues. Some of those insights include:

Everything in our lives is being automated. Because of this, our social bonds are being pulled in different directions. We need to be cognizant of what technology is doing to us and the ways that we interact with others.
Through neuro-linguistic programming, we can change the way that we think about and perceive the world. From fears of animals to larger, more meta fears about our careers, we can overcome these obstacles—so long as we work on them.
Many of us still place immense value on what other people think. This habit often becomes ingrained in our psyche when we are children. However, by sticking with this habit, it becomes much more difficult to build confidence as an adult.
There’s a fine line on pushing people out of their comfort zones. To better gauge that, it is helpful to understand who they are in their childlike selves. For example, whether they are introverts or extroverts is a great way to get clearer insights.
No matter what you are doing, it is helpful to question the norm. While the norm may be correct or the most efficient thing to do, you may be surprised at how often there are more correct beliefs or better ways of doing things.

Ultimately, this is a terrific episode if you want to overcome some internal obstacles to get to the next level. No matter your career expertise or career goals, this is a fantastic conversation for you.

Randall Chesnutt is the president and co-founder of Spoken About. Spoken About is a “Direct Response Marketing Agency” that blends together great designs with the principles of direct response marketing. He is also the host of the Mind Theory podcast and the author of Open Your Mind and Let Doubt Out. Before starting Spoken About and Mind Theory, Randall started out as an intelligent analyst and a flight attendant.

How Entrepreneurs Get Featured in the News with Ronnell Richards

How Entrepreneurs Get Featured in the News with Ronnell Richards

Whether you just started a new company or are trying to take your company to the next level, it is important to get some sort of press attention. But how do you get that sort of attention? In this episode of Connection Loop, Ruben Dua sat down with Ronnell Richards to discuss everything related to startups and PR. You will hear many different insights in this episode, including the following:

Being an entrepreneur is about being honest with yourself. It’s important to be truthful about why you are actually doing what you do. Sometimes people trick themselves and this can lead to stress and unfulfilled expectations down the road.
Entrepreneurs that are looking to get noticed by the press should definitely create social media content. Creating engaging social media content lets you build an audience, which will then attract the attention of all kinds of publishers.
Along with creating organic social media content, it’s important to go ask journalists to write about you. Don’t be afraid to be aggressive. This tactic works more often than you may think.
Also, spend time building strategic relationships with journalists. Even if a journalist or publisher doesn’t want to interview you right now, they may want to do so in the future. Investing in those relationships now will make your job much easier.
One of the best attitudes that you can have is not needing someone else’s platform. Instead, you can create your own platform and generate influence that way. Ironically, this may lead to more traditional press coverage in the future.

Ultimately, this is a great episode that can help you get more press attention for your startup. Even though it is never easy, you can obtain the press attention that you expect by leveraging the insights discussed in this conversation.

Ronnell Richards has been an entrepreneur for about two decades. Most recently, he is the founder of Developing the Next Generation of Great Entrepreneurs, which is a firm that helps early-stage entrepreneurs get through the tough times, create and execute strategy, and grow sales. Ronnell is also the managing partner, creator, and host of Business & Bourbon. On Business & Bourbon, Ronnell combats the evil forces of “entrepreneur porn” with the superpowers of wisdom and knowledge gained through real experience.

Doing Business on LinkedIn with Troy Hipolito

Doing Business on LinkedIn with Troy Hipolito

Are you looking for a better way to do business on LinkedIn? If so, you are going to love this episode of Connection Loop. Here, Ruben Dua spoke with Troy Hipolito on how to use LinkedIn to grow and scale your business. Some of the insights that you will hear in this episode include the following:

There is a good amount of noise on LinkedIn. As LinkedIn users, you have undoubtedly seen floods of messages bombarding your inbox. That being said, the fact that there is noise on the platform leaves open a great opportunity for you to break through the noise and add real value to your connections.
If you are trying to generate revenue from LinkedIn, you must ensure that your audience is active on the platform. If they aren’t, you are going to find it much more difficult to connect and engage with your prospects.
It is critical to respond with intelligence. By this, we mean accounting for connections have said in prior messages and even biographical information. Responding with intelligence is a great way to build long-term connections and increase your chances of generating a sale.
Think about your objective when you are sending connection requests and/or responding to LinkedIn messages. While it may seem obvious to you, it helps to go through the exercise. It can inform the way that you communicate with your LinkedIn connections.
If you haven’t gotten a response from a connection, you’ll likely need to follow up. After 30 or 60 days, you need to have a strategy. For instance, it’s acceptable to reach out to that prospect via email.

Ultimately, this is an outstanding episode for entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs alike. No matter your career goals, LinkedIn can help you get closer to those goals. Because of this, we encourage you to implement the insights discussed in this episode.

Troy Hipolito is the founder of ReturnClient, which connects its users directly to verified clients.
