Listen in on a conversation with Alexis Sanchez, a nurse, artist and musician who connects many of our previous conversations as they relate to Xicanism, Indigeneity, and arts.  She also happens to be one of few confirmed descendants of the 9,000 year old human skeleton known as the Kennewick Man, aka the Ancient one.  There were issues with the audio recording but we wanted to share the conversation with our listeners.  

Nathan Orosco, a Chicano artist, was born in Odessa, TX and received his B.A. in Studio Art at The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2000 and his M.F.A in Sculpture at Washington State University in 2002. He is currently an Instructor of Art at Mt. Hood Community College where he teaches sculpture, drawing and design. Nathan Orosco’s work has been exhibited nationally including exhibits at the Museum of Arts Culture in Spokane WA and the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, TX.
