Here is why:

YOU the PUBLIC, entrust my brother and I to wear a belt with a gun, a bullet-resistant vest, and a badge. You ask us to drive around all day in a patrol car with pretty red and blue lights, to hopefully protect you and your family, your pets, your car, and your property from being victimized. Does it work? It is a nice concept, but you tell me. Chances are you have already been a victim of crime.

We came up with a different concept. One to put you in control. One to make you aware. One that will Make your life Code-4! Remember these 2 very important words. Code-4

Code-4 is a Police code that we use on the radio to tell the dispatcher that we have the situation under control, and that no further assistance is necessary.

We often rush to assist other officers in potentially dangerous situations. While responding to the other officers location, we hear the officer advise dispatch that they are Code-4. No further assistance needed because they have the situation under control. I do not notice it anymore after all these years, but when I hear another cop advise Code-4 my brain tells my body it’s OK to relax. I would not call it a sigh of relief exactly, but I definitely get the feeling that - Everything is cool for now - and my sense of urgency disappears until the next call comes in. Mark and I are both experienced street officers. Day in and day out we see senseless tragedy that could have been avoided. Property loss, that could have been avoided. Innocent people being victimized who did not need to be victimized. Criminals bouncing through the criminal justice system, like it was a revolving door.

Great show

I gave it 4 stars only because I think there is a little to much ha ha in the show. But I do like it. It just needs more "stuff" and less ha ha.

Informative, Insightful, and Funny

I just found this podcast a few months ago while browsing through iTunes. I instantly gambled on it and downloaded the first 6 episodes (all that was available in the iTunes store) and became addicted. I contacted Brent by email and was now able to download all the remaining episodes. I was a reserve police officer for almost 6 years until the program was discontiued due to budget cuts and training costs. I am also a jailer in a county jail. I hear all kinds of stories AFTER the arrest and incarceration but dont get a chance to speak to the officers beforehand. Love this show! Please keep them coming !!!

Cops are smart and funny and honest...... WHO KNEW!!!!

I just found this podcast two days ago, and have already listened to about 10-11 hours of it!! I was extremely surpised that I like it so much! Thought it was going to be powerhungry selfrighteous jerks! Come to find out they sound like really nice guys! They also are extremely transparent, treating enforcement of the law as an honest and brave duty. I have to say, I have learned in 10 hours all kinds of things, and I usually know it all! lol

I have a growing respect for these men! They have a great sense of humor, tons of great points, they don't just say "use common sense" but tell you what common sense actually is! If anyone out there is like me and curious about what is going on and how to stay out of trouble, as well as loves wacky banter, please try this one, and I can't wait to see how they answer MY questions!!!! haha
