Why Building the Right Team Is So Critical, with Aurélien Amacker of Systeme.io
Founder of Systeme.io, Aurélien Amacker, spoke with host Darrell Vesterfelt about his early life as a struggling blogger and digital marketer, his first $500K product launch, and mistakes he’s learned from along the way to online success.
Aurelian Amacker spent over a year, tens of thousands of euros, and lots of blood, sweat, and tears before he found the right formula (and team) for his popular software as a service, now used by thousands of customers to launch and run their own online businesses.
In this episode, Darrell and Aurelian discussed:
The tools Aurélien used to build a list of over 10,000 email subscribers for his first product launch (and why it was so stressful)
Why he chose to move away from the “Product Launch Formula”
3 questions to ask yourself before taking a big financial gamble
Why building the right team from the start is so important
And much more!

Customer Reviews
Insightful, entertaining and actionable
Sonia and her talented guests talk all things marketing, giving you the tools you need to get hands-on with your business.
The best part is these tools come from truly engaging individuals that have been where you are and want to see you succeed. Thanks so much for putting out such a spectacular show Sonia - keep up the great work!
Surface Level and Condescending at Times
I gave about ten or twelve episodes a chance before unsubscribing. The podcast can definitely have some useful information, but often times it will stop just short of the juicy details and instead refer you to a link in the show notes for more details. It isn’t really helpful while driving or on a flight. I’m not sure the producers understand the strengths and weaknesses of podcasts in that regard.
It’s possible that I came in during this show’s “NPR annual fundraiser”, but every other episode felt like they were trying to sell me on a class or conference. The worst instances were when they’d roll out manufactured scarcity and tell you to “buy now, because next week the price triples!” For me, it felt condescending and more like an MLM pitch than a real opportunity for professional development.
If you’re trying to teach people how to sell, at least assume we’re savvy enough to know when we’re being sold.
Pragmatic and Artful
I have listened to around 20 episodes over the last two months and have found them to be practical, clear and imbued with the experience of people who have been at copywriting a long time. Copyblogger is not the only place to learn about copywriting in the age of content marketing, but it is among the best. My thanks to Sonia and her fellow Rainmakers for sharing what they know.
