    • Society & Culture

It first appeared on Reddit.  Photos of a man and his family vandalizing Corona Arch on BLM land in Utah.
The BLM started an investigation into the matter, and in the meantime the man was identified by the internet.
Ryan Andersen and his wife Jen were identified quickly and they were of course beset by the fury of the internet.
Ryan's business, Andersen Hitches in Idaho Falls, also suffered from a lot of bad reviews online prompted by people upset at his actions.
Ryan Andersen released a statement apologizing for his behavior and promising to adopt a Leave No Trace ethic and support the defense of public land.  He also promised to pay for the damage to be repaired.
