Whitewashing, as most know it, distorts and attempts to erase Black individuals' and communities' experiences, contributions, and struggles, ultimately perpetuating systemic racism and reinforcing harmful stereotypes.

In Memory of Emmett Louis Till
Emmett Louis Till, born on July 25, 1941, tragically lost his life on August 28, 1955, at the age of 14. He was a young African American boy who was abducted, tortured, and ultimately lynched in Mississippi by domestic terrorists.
