Courage over Leukemia - Sarah Barnes Aabo Gold Ribbon Conversations

    • Medicine

Gold Ribbon Conversations - The podcast that supports those fighting Childhood Cancer.
In our final episode of the season we are so grateful to be joined by Sarah Barnes Aabo.
At two and half, her gorgeous lively little boy became noticeably unwell very quickly.
Kian, was diagnosed with Leukemia and while this news changed everything.
Chemotherapy took its toll on Kian's immune system and left him vulnerable to a virus which took hold and he became paralysed from the neck down.
Kian beat his cancer and he rang that bell - but his fight continues as he regains mobility, strength and life following a tracheostomy.
Here we talk about holding on to hope, gratitude for every single good day, Kians 750 days in hospital and the months Sarah and her family were supported by the ronald McDonald house.
None of us know what tomorrow brings but Sarah’s story will show you that on the darkest days you’re never alone.
