    Apocalypse Update

    Those of you who habitually listen to the Christian News Network will remember hearing something very similar to this. Bear in mind, to some of your neighbors and elected servants, anything that can happen to screw things up further brings us that much closer to that most happy of days, the Rapture. This sketch debuted at the 2006 Day of the Dead Dinner Show "War of the Squirrels."     Revenge of the Radio Avenger - Part 2

    Here's an amusingly tart critique of bland corporate radio with a very uncharacteristic nod to OTR. Usually we leave old time radio references to our good friends in Canada's relentlessly good Decoder Ring Theatre. But in this case, we hope you don't mind. When we're trying to poke fun at modern radio's sad state of affairs, it may be most telling to remember how great our airwaves once were. (Orginally recorded at the 5th Annual Day of the Dead Dinner Show, Nov. 2004, the Crystal Ballroom of the Hotel Montezuma, Prescott, AZ)

    "ALCCA" Mock Commercial

    The first sketch to emerge from this year's 7th Annual Day of the Dead Dinner Show is the latest ode to that great modern art form, the American Commercial, by Christian H. Smith, Comic Genius. Many nights, Christian sits up into the wee hours with his latest teething child and researches late night television for further material. The following is a salute to these televised haikues of desire and some of the celebs who joined us (if only in spirit) at this year's Day of the Dead Dinner Show.     Dead Votes Society

    Howdy Coyotistas! As we prepare the count-down to this year's 7th Annual Day of the Dead Dinner Show, let us cast a bemused ear over DoDDS of years past. This fundraising event for KYXS,Coyote Radio - Prescott, Arizona's Community Radio Group, began as a way to attract radio station big shots into carrying live comedy radio theater over their airwaves. And . . . as it turns out, they really didn't care. But audiences seemed to. They come back year after year for this fresh approach to comedy and to support our fledgling community radio station. Five of the first 6 DoDDS sold out. Will this year's show sell out? Hopefully, or Angie and I are going to be eating a lot of left over Mexican food. This first episode is "The Dead Votes Society," a spoof of NPR interview pieces from our 2006 DoDDS at the Hotel Saint Michael. To find out about this year's show, check out www.coyoteradio.org.
