This is what you want to listen to...
If you like games and comics, this is your podcast. Comedy and punk music? Look no further. I never knew Raleigh was so flush with venues and talented comedians. This podcast gives great perspective on not just local but regional events and shows.
And these guys have a great back forth. It’s a good contrast of styles and keeps me listening no matter what they are talking about.
Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Steal This Podcast
I only produce and co-host one podcast and it is this one. Why 5 stars? Because it does what it says on the tin. It delivers comedy from the grizzled moustache of Reid Pegram, punk & tabletop gaming news shamelessly aggregated from the world wide web, & a broad discussion on comic books that is thought provoking, informative, entertaining and delightful. The quiz section "Magic: The Gathering Card or Metal Band?" might be the most difficult thing Reid attempts in the course of a month, but only he knows for sure. If you have to listen to one podcast about Comedy Punk Games & Books, you'll have to listen to this, because there are no others. That makes CPGB the most niche & exclusive podcast in the universe. You could spend your time doing other stuff, but you can do it while also listening to this podcast. And at the low low rate of FREE it is worth twice what you pay for it. The opening theme song from Mega Colossus makes me want to set my shoes on fire. I hope you'll agree.
This is why I like podcasts!
I'm kinda of a podcast junkie so I have wadded through some crap product. Finding this little gem is what makes all that effort worth while. A fun, meandering but not chaotic take on Raleigh, North Carolina's eclectic scene. The long format has a Joe Rogan feel which is nice. On a technical note, the audio is top-notch and you can clearly understand the host and guests (some podcats sound like they are recorded in a closet under a freeway...).
