Lake Sidney Lanier, located in North Georgia. Most commonly referred to simply as Lake Lanier. Steeped in eerie whispers from the locals; apparently the ghost of a dead woman roams the lake during the night; and I’ll tell you about the controversy over the seedy back woods southern dealings behind the old town that was seized from a local community and then flooded to create the artificial lake.
