Creating A New Men's Fragrance - Where To Begin‪?‬ Behind The Fragrance from Thomas Clipper

    • Entrepreneurship

Hello! We're Matt and Antonio. We're the founders of Thomas Clipper, an independent men’s cologne business based in London.

If you’re interested in why scent is so important, how new men’s colognes are created and how a small business brings a new product to market, this weekly podcast is for you.

That’s because we’re embarking on the development our newest fragrance - Atlantic. As we’re recording this we’ve got no idea what its exact scent profile is, no idea what it looks like and only the faintest idea of how and when it’s going to launch.

But in this series we’re going to be letting you into how we get from here, to launch (whenever that is). We’ll share what goes into a fragrance brief, how modern scent is made, what we look for when developing a new cologne and how scent shapes culture.

This week we're asking 'why is scent important' (this New York Times article mentioned in the podcast is worth a read), 'what's a nose' (bear with us) and whether we should call the podcast 'Fragonomics' (we should, but we didn't).  Thanks for joining us!
