Crime in Color

I’m a long time listener (i.e. pre JV), and i’ve always enjoy the show and respected that it was “grassroots” and doesn’t have the funding that the large white pods that can’t be bothered to discuss Black/Brown/PoC folks as victims of crime. That said I think the show could use a bit more structure now that there are two host. The the flow of conversation needs to be a bit more equal. While I understand the host are people and these stories are coming from them, there is a level of care that is needed when discussing horrific crimes which is lacking sometimes (One reason I no longer listen to my favorite murder). Also the long unrelatedly personal stories that overshadow the story and the other host (another reason I stopped listening to MFM) could also be toned down. I want to LOVE this show and continue to support it, I want to see y’all thrive. I hope this feedback helps.

JV’s uncontrolled laugh at the beginning is worth 5 stars! I love this podcast so much.

I would give this a 0 but can’t so I have to give it a 1. As a African American woman I try to listen to all podcast about us. But this male co-host was a HUGE disappointment. It’s hard to take the podcast seriously.
