NEW SHOW: Drowning Creek
In the early morning hours of November 2, 2007, Justin Gaines walked out of a popular nightclub on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia and was never seen again. The investigation into Gaines' disappearance quickly went cold and remained so until 2015, when a man confessed to taking part in his murder. Though this detailed confession described what happened to Justin Gaines, who was involved, and where his body was placed, no arrest has ever been made. Host Sean Kipe digs into this story to find out what really happened to Justin Gaines and tries to make sense of the still ongoing investigation. But as Sean gets deeper, he finds himself in an underworld of drugs, money, and murder.

When a couple of young Indianapolis businessmen fail to show up for work in December of 1971, their secretary grows concerned as the day goes on, and a friend volunteers to swing by their house to check up on them. He never could have expected the carnage he would find inside, or how it would set off one of the strangest investigations in Indiana history. Was the perp the jealous partner of one of the men's many romantic conquests? A businessman with a grudge? A contract killer hired by the Mob to send a message? Or even by the White House itself?

Love it but the ADS
I’ve been listening for SO long, and love it so much. HOWEVER: I don’t know what happened recently, but the ads are so insane now. You start the episode: 3 ads. Literally 7 minutes later: 3 more ads. 10 minutes later: 2 ads. ????
But I do love the show so 4 stars
I’m leaving
Hi! Random teen here! I first found out about Crime Junkies through my mom listening to it in the car and I am just starting to listen to it again but I do HATE the ads. I’m leaving this podcast now
Love the show but….
I listen to this show on long trips during vacation. My wife and I love it, or at least used to. The stories were well researched and presented. But somewhat recently, all we do is get preached to by the host. Telling us there is only racism/sexism in the justice system. I also hate that Ms. Flowers calls drug use, essentially, a disease or disorder. Sorry, if these people hadn’t taken drugs they never would have found they enjoyed them enough to forsake everything else in their life to get them. The same cannot be said for cancer.
The shows have gotten preachier and Ms. Flowers states things as fact when she actually hasn’t studied or fully understands the issue. I imagine she surrounds herself with like minded people and never hears an opinion that is not shared by her collective. Sad really.
I still plan on listening to the show for the time being as it gives me insight into cases I never knew or heard of as well as knowledge of what I should do in a given situation.
Again I love the show I just am tired of hearing her socioeconomic views and agenda about how racist everyone else is. Just present the show how you used to… it was excellent.
