I NEED more diversity in my crime/mystery reading, and I want diversity in those diverse voices, i.e. social commentary is fine as long as it moves the plot forward and doesn’t grind it down. Authenticity, yes please! with the entertainment value of Agatha Christie, Michael Connelly, Walter Moseley, Sujata Massey, Laura Joh Rowland, Tana French, Donald Westlake, John Dickson Carr, Aaron Elkins minus the sexism… This podcast will feed that HUNGER. Hosted by author Robert Justice, this podcast is on the top of my list when it comes to those interviewing crime writers and authors. Robert is one of the most talented broadcasters I’ve come across, and I consume a lot of talk radio and podcasts. His interview style is flawless. The questions he asks always produce engaging answers. He digs deep into each guests’ works, bringing out interesting notes and insights. Highly recommend!

I love learning about mystery and thriller writers outside of the male white authors that have dominated the space. Robert is a great host and hearing about the books and writing process of the authors is just what I want from a literary podcast as a reader and writer!
