True crime and & learning about people different than me

LOVE true crime podcasts, but some get too gory. I like this one because it doesn't go into the blood and gore too much AND Myxter also tells you where to find the story WITH the gory details if another podcaster has covered it. On the one I Iistened to today (Kwauhura Govan) he also discussed religion (where he pointed out the basis of all religions is love and connection. Preach it brother! [yes I consider all humans my brothers & sisters]), and non-binary (old white lady here, had to look that one up) and people of color. I learned some stuff I didn't know. Myxter, please be safer. Don't be carrying around a weapon. What if you get stopped for being black? You could get hurt! Stay safe!

Failure of Execution

Wow. This podcast is not good. The premise of the show was interesting enough for me to try it out but it fails to execute on almost every level. The sound and editing is bad. With constant pauses and random tangents that seem to go nowhere. The music isn't done well or placed well in the production. The narrator is very amateurish in their presentation. He is constantly stuttering and saying uhm through out the the whole show. I'm not looking for a whole lot of detail when it comes to murderers but I am listening to a true crime podcast so I'd like a good explanation of the crime which is absent in a lot of the episodes. The way he editorializes a lot of the killers and their backstories comes off very childish and doesn't contribute much to the story at all. And my last complaint is that he describes it as being put through a social or psychological lense but it anything related to that sort of thing just comes off like something read out of a psych 101 textbook. I had high hopes for this podcast and the ideas behind the premise of it but it really did nothing for me and isn't really worth listening to. So I do not recommend
