EPISODE 8: GJ X HERNEWTRIBE (Live at SxSW)

EPISODE 8: GJ X HERNEWTRIBE (Live at SxSW)

In this episode I speak with Ashley Stovall and Stephanie Duncan of the Austin Texas based jewelry label Her New Tribe. With backgrounds in art and fashion, and a concentration on unapologetic style, the brand was born of conversation around bold color, quiet strength, and endless optimism.

We discuss ways of approaching scalability in a way that serves them both AND the brand itself. How positive reactions can be distractions and how marching to the beat of your own drum always serves to support us in the long run - even when you’re competing in such a competitive industry.

Part Two - We continue the elevated conversation diving into what it means to let it all hang out when your business is rooted in selling your services, as much as sharing your personal identity.

In this episode I speak to The Fold’s editor in chief Amanda Carter-Gomes. Amanda is based in Seattle Washington, but her digital platform has a national audience. Well done, bravo!

This podcast is so perfect and in tune with what I need now! I was feeling down in the dumps about my own bsuiness and just listening to Gretchen speak with these other small business owners has me pumped! Gretchen is a great listener, speaker and knows how to draw in an audience. Which all makes for great podcast listening.

Lame

A mediocre white woman made a podcast for other mediocre white women, how original

Total gem

Straight up addicted.
Positive, refreshing conversations meeting each guest/client where they are, while candidly listening + talking them through where they want to be. Gretchen does this by addressing behaviors that may no longer be working, hindering their progress by infusing confidence and real steps to get there.
So many gems in every episode. Find myself rewinding so I can jot some notes every time.
