Without Warning® is a true crime in real-time. This podcast goes behind the scenes with renowned private investigator Sheila Wysocki as she pulls back the curtain on official police investigations of real, tragic deaths that just don’t add up.
In Season One of the Without Warning® podcast, Wysocki investigates the tragic death of Lauren Agee, who died while attending a lakeside boating event with friends. Is the police's conclusion that it was an accident consistent with all the evidence? Hear what Lauren's mother, her friends, others at the scene, and law enforcement have to say.
In Season Two of Without Warning®, Wysocki turns her attention to Christian Andreacchio, who was found in his bathtub with a bullet hole in his head by friends who called 911 believing he had shot himself. But does the physical evidence add up to suicide? Hear what Christian's mother, his friends, and law enforcement have to say. You decide who’s telling the truth, who’s lying, what happened to the evidence, and whether the police investigation was done right in this true-crime podcast.
In Season Four of Without Warning® Podcast, Wysocki takes the listener through the Jonathan Crews case. Brenda Lazaro called 911 saying Jonathan wanted to show her how much he loved her and shot himself. The evidence tells a different story.
Season Five takes a turn Through Private Eyes with a co-host Katherine Mayer of Mayer Consulting and Private Investigator Danielle Burch. Taking the listeners through the eyes of an investigation. Taking all sides of the Dani Smith case, a reported suicide with many red flags throughout the investigation. Was it a suicide?

Katherine and Sheila talk about the Tool of the Trade Episode 3

Katherine and Sheila talk about the Tool of the Trade Episode 3

Episode takes the listeners through the tips and tools that we use to build a case. Investigators rely on the initial 911 call, offense and incident reports from law enforcement, witness and suspect statements, photographs, and other important documents from medical examiners or first responders to develop a timeline.
Sheila and Katherine also explain how Freedom the of Information Act (FOIA) is one of the most crucial elements an investigator can use to gather this information if it is initially refused. Listen to the episode as we discuss how these tools affect the investigation and how they may also hinder it.

    The Death of Dani Smith

    The Death of Dani Smith

In the next episode, you will hear from one of my Patreon members, Haley Ward, who became a Private Investigator in order to get answers about the suspicious death of her 20-year-old cousin, Dani Jo Smith of Longview, TX.

Dani was a confident and vivacious young woman who on the night of July 18, 2014, went for an ATV ride with her on-again/off-again boyfriend Jeff Wellborn. Unfortunately, Dani never made it home. Dani died in the hospital that night from a gunshot wound to her head and it was ruled a suicide. Many questions surrounded her death. Why were there three possible crime scenes? Why were none of the other ATV riders interviewed? How could she have shot herself while being reclined in a car seat with a seatbelt on? Why would a former Marine who served two tours in Iraq confuse the sound of a gunshot thinking it was a firecracker? In the next several episodes Sheila and Katherine will investigate that fateful night taking you through their private eyes.

    The ATV Site

    The ATV Site

In this week’s episode, we introduce you to the second location of significance the evening Dani died, which is what we refer to as “The ATV site". Thirty minutes after Jeff called 911 about Dani, the Cass County Sheriff’s Dept responded to a 911 call from a witness who reported hearing an accident. You will hear the audio between Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy James Rachel and Jeff’s good friend CJ, who was also riding ATV’s with Jeff and Dani. After they were finished riding, Jeff called CJ and asked him to follow him back into town. CJ reports that Jeff was driving erratically and lost his ATV off the trailer. Two days later, CJ is interviewed by Cass County Chief Deputy Roy Barker. You will also hear this audio. Listen closely to similarities and differences in his recollection of the events of the evening Dani died.

    911 Is It an Emergency?

    911 Is It an Emergency?

In this week’s episode, the long-awaited 911 call will be played in its entirety. If you have an affinity for statement analysis, this is certainly an episode you will want to listen to over and over. As we’ve recorded this episode, we caught something different every time we listen. Jeff places his needs before Dani’s. He tries to take control immediately by saying he needs a different county to respond. He distances himself from Dani by referring to her as “the girl”. He refused to give CPR because he knows she was dead. Except she wasn’t. Listen to the dispatcher as she seems to doubt that Jeff is doing as she tells him to. We will break down the 911 call line by line, taking you through our private eyes.

The truth and nothing but the truth

When you listen to anything that is presented by Sheila Wysocki and her team, it is dependable. They fact check everything before it’s presented. This allows for real truth (good or bad) to come out. With Sheila you aren’t getting hearsay, things seen on tv, in a book, etc…. You are getting the truth and nothing but the truth.
