Cultivating Influence in Web3: How to Lead in Media, Investment and AI

Influence in Web3 today is established through multiple channels, from media and investment to distribution and governance. Our latest guest, Nikita Sachdev, Founder and CEO of Luna Media Corporation, has spent years working in all of them. What began with Luna PR has since expanded into media ownership, investment, recruitment, events and broader work within the Web3 ecosystem.

In this episode of the Women Leading the Way by Drofa Comms podcast, host Maria Tunikova speaks with Nikita about how those different parts of the business developed, and why many of them started as direct responses to gaps she was already seeing in the market.

Nikita explains how Luna PR initially grew around the challenge to make complex technology easier to understand. In its early days, Web3 was about NFTs, GameFi and online communities. Now, the sphere is becoming far more institutional, with greater attention on regulation, infrastructure, credibility and long-term adoption.

Nikita discusses why distribution has become one of the hardest parts of building influence today. This is especially true as audiences get information from social platforms and AI search.

Then, Nikita shares her view on real-world assets, stablecoins and the growing role of institutional players alongside reflecting on the UAE and the US as two important hubs for the industry. She also explains why AI and agentic commerce could become a major driver of stablecoin adoption.

As for women in Web3, mentorship and access to leadership opportunities, Nikita argues that progress depends primarily on leaders creating the right environment for them to grow. That’s why her advice to women considering careers in finance or Web3 is to identify what you are actually missing, learn it, and find an environment where you can gain experience while continuing to develop.
