Navratri in the NRI Community: A Culture Beyond Garba.

Navratri in the NRI Community: A Culture Beyond Garba.

Navratri for the NRI community is beyond the 9 days of fasting, its beyond garba dancing or the religious celebrations. For the NRI community, Navratri events have always had a huge cultural significance and is seen as a time to get together and celebrate our roots and culture. It took me almost 8 years of attending Garba events in North America to understand the deep cultural meaning this festival held for the Indian community abroad.

Felt someone could read my heart

After moving to the US two years ago, to be with my husband and studying at the same time took a toll on me. I missed home every single day. Listening to esha made me feel home. Every topic she covered touched my heart and I strongly recommend each one of you to listen to atleast one of the episodes she covers. Her episodes are short crisp and goes straight to the heart.
Thank you for amazing content.

Absolutely Bingeworthy!

Really enjoyed listening to all episodes. It makes me nostalgic with all my experiences staying abroad. The host’s voice is very soothing and she delivers the messages very well. Keep up the great work.
