Great listen

Great, intelligent, funny conversation. Not only do I enjoy listening, but it’s also a good source of recommendations. Julia, Steve and Dana have a great rapport.

I do wish they were all there more often. The substitute hosts can be good sometimes, but they’re on too frequently. The conversations about traditional articles of criticism like movies, think pieces, or TV shows are also stronger than their coverage of social media or tech trends.

Overall, a great listen. Whenever I miss the sort of conversations that happen in college English classrooms, I turn this on.

The best culture podcast around

Brilliant, hilarious, and culturally omnivorous. Love all three of the hosts and any guests they bring in!

Please please stop the “likes”.

I really do not understand the origin and use of “ like” as a sentence stuffer. For me it is an irritating tic and one that makes listening so very grating on the nerves that I ultimately give up.
What a pity that conversation is so often dominated by “likeists”. Can you understand how this might turn listeners away?
