Soothing wind in your ears

Get swept away into the land of history's misty mysteries on the gentle gales of a silky southern baritone

Always interesting

So glad to have discovered this unique podcast. In each episode, our narrator (who is very easy on the ears) presents a selection of American stories, always offbeat, mostly true and always intriguing. He has a predilection for the odd and creepy, but you never know quite what you're going to get. I'm tempted to binge, but I want to savor every episode.

Great narration of creepy and interesting stories

I came across this podcast while randomly searching for something new to listen to and quickly became enamored of it. The host curates interesting and odd stories from across the internet (many, like the narrator's drawl, have a Southern bent, but each one has broad appeal -- the article "The Haunting of 657 Boulevard" is captivating in spoken word form) without any apparent theme in each episode, but there is still a cohesiveness to the overall podcast. I've recommended it to several friends and family members, it is perfect for long car rides or as something to listen to before you go to sleep (if the stories don't unnerve you!).
