Illuminating podcast

I recently started listening to this podcast and I’m so glad I’ve continued to tune in. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have music in my life. Even ordinary every day conversations turn into songs in my head. I thought I knew a lot about all types of music but listening to Kris and Erik (and even special guests Brooke and Chris) talk and ruminate about particular genres or specific songs has made my love for music grow and even evolve. To be able to continue to discover new music (to me) has been quite a delightful experience.

Good

It’s good. I like it. They have nice voices and talk interestingly.

This is rad!

Do you love music written for people and not aimed at radio popularity? Do you wish you had the time to research the stories behind the songs? Let Audionauts Erik and Kris do the work for you! They examine each track of an album (beginning with Walk Among Us by The Misfits) supplying analysis, actual facts, and misfacts about each. Especially interesting are the covers they unearth, revealing the influence of the seminal pioneers of music on current punk and indie bands while giving some underground artists the exposure they deserve (I especially love the Skulls cover by Agents of Oblivion). The unfiltered banter, peppered with witty comments and interesting speculation, provides not only food for thought but some laugh out loud moments as well. CUTXCUT is time well spent.
