Peter's Declaration That Jesus Is the Christ - MT 16 13-20 Gospel of 08/23/2020

The Gospel of August 23th of 2020 according to Saint Matthew Chapter 16 Verses 13 to 20 - TWENTY-FIRST SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

" 13.Then Jesus went into parts of Caesarea Philippi. And he questioned his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that the Son of man is?” 14.And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, and others say Elijah, still others say Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15.Jesus said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16.Simon Peter responded by saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17.And in response, Jesus said to him: “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father, who is in heaven. 18.And I say to you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. 19.And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound, even in heaven. And whatever you shall release on earth shall be released, even in heaven.” 20.Then he instructed his disciples that they should tell no one that he is Jesus the Christ."

Gospel Mt 13 31-35 Parables of Jesus with Highlights July 27th of 2020

Gospel Mt 13 31-35 Parables of Jesus with Highlights July 27th of 2020

The Gospel of July 27th of 2020 according to Saint Matthew Chapter 13 Verses31 to 35 - Ordinary Weekday

"31.He proposed another parable to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. 32.It is, indeed, the least of all seeds, but when it has grown, it is greater than all the plants, and it becomes a tree, so much so that the birds of the air come and dwell in its branches.” 33.He spoke another parable to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of fine wheat flour, until it was entirely leavened.” 34.All these things Jesus spoke in parables to the crowds. And he did not speak to them apart from parables, 35.in order to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet, saying: “I will open my mouth in parables. I will proclaim what has been hidden since the foundation of the world."

We can see the little mustard seed of the parable like we see the Kingdom of Heaven, it may look small, but it is always expanding through the World, outside us, and inside yourselves.
The leaven, we could see the Word of Jesus like a leaven in the wheat flour, the Word of the Lord is working without us seeing it in the interior and the exterior of us.
In Psalm 78:2, we can read the teaching: “I will open my mouth in a parable,” Jesus does the same, like the command of the Psalm.

Gospel St John 10 1-10 Jesus the Good Shepherd with Highlights May 3rd of 2020

Gospel St John 10 1-10 Jesus the Good Shepherd with Highlights May 3rd of 2020

The Gospel of May 3rd of 2020 according to Saint John Chapter 10 Verses 1 to 10 - FOURTH SUNDAY OFEASTER

1.“Amen, amen, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up by another way, he is a thief and a robber. 2.But he who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3.To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out. 4.And when he has sent out his sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice. 5.But they do not follow a stranger; instead they flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6.Jesus spoke this proverb to them. But they did not understand what he was saying to them. 7.Therefore, Jesus spoke to them again: “Amen, amen, I say to you, that I am the door of the sheep. 8.All others, as many as have come, are thieves and robbers, and the sheep did not listen to them. 9.I am the door. If anyone has entered through me, he will be saved. And he shall go in and go out, and he shall find pastures. 10.The thief does not come, except so that he may steal and slaughter and destroy. I have come so that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.

Jesus told the parable of the Good Shepherd to the Pharisees. Pharisees were the ones that studied the laws, the ones that should know the right choices.
But the ones that should see clearly the value of the teachings of Christ didn't see it.
The door was open, and the Pharisees did not understand it and did not reach salvation.

Gospel Saint John 6 60-69 The Words of Eternal Life with Highlights May 2nd of 2020

The Gospel of May 2nd of 2020 according to Saint John Chapter 6 Verses 60 to 69

    The Words of Eternal Life

"60.He said these things when he was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum. 61.Therefore, many of his disciples, upon hearing this, said: “This saying is difficult,” and, “Who is able to listen to it?” 62.But Jesus, knowing within himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, said to them: “Does this offend you? 63.Then what if you were to see the Son of man ascending to where he was before? 64.It is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh does not offer anything of benefit. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 65.But there are some among you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who were unbelieving and which one would betray him. 66.And so he said, “For this reason, I said to you that no one is able to come to me, unless it has been given to him by my Father.” 67.After this, many of his disciples went back, and they no longer walked with him. 68.Therefore, Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” 69.Then Simon Peter answered him: “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life."

    Highlights

It is hard to choose the way offered to us by Jesus. Among many followers, only twelve stayed with him.
Our lives on Earth are pointless without the teachings of Christ. When we don't want to fulfill our soul with his sacred Gospel, our flesh doesn't have a meaning, it is empty.
The saying of Peter, choosing to be with the Son of God, is everyone's fundamental choice in life.

52.If anyone eats from this bread, he shall live in eternity. And the bread that I will give is my flesh, for the life of the world.” 53.Therefore, the Jews debated among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 54.And so, Jesus said to them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you. 55.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 56.For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 57.Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 58.Just as the living Father has sent me and I live because of the Father, so also whoever eats me, the same shall live because of me. 59.This is the bread that descends from heaven. It is not like the manna that your fathers ate, for they died. Whoever eats this bread shall live forever. 60.He said these things when he was teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum.

    The Holy Gospel

    Highlights
In the Hebrew language, the words flesh and blood had the meaning of a complete person; it was a usual expression of that time and land. Have flesh and blood of Jesus is to be entirely with him.
Flesh and blood are with us today in the Eucharist when we have the bread and the wine, as Christ taught the Apostles. At the Catholic Church, the bread and the wine consecrated at Mass are changed to the flesh and the blood of Jesus. We still have the appearance of bread and wine, but at Mass, we have flesh and blood of the Son of God. It occurs the Transubstantiation, when the change of substance only happens, not a change of look.

Gospel St John 6 44-51 Only Jesus saw Father with Highlights April 30th of 2020

The Gospel of April 30th of 2020 according to Saint John Chapter 6 Verse 44 to 51 - Easter Weekday - Pius V, pp, r

"44.No one is able to come to me, unless the Father, who has sent me, has drawn him. And I will raise him up on the last day. 45.It has been written in the Prophets: ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has listened and learned from the Father comes to me. 46.Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God; this one has seen the Father. 47.Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me has eternal life. 48.I am the bread of life. 49.Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and they died. 50.This is the bread which descends from heaven, so that if anyone will eat from it, he may not die. 51.I am the living bread, who descended from heaven."

    The Holy Gospel

    Highlights
Only Christ is the true bread. In the past, They ate the mana in the desert and died. Now, people eat other kinds of bread and perish also.
Only the Son of the Father saw the Father because Jesus is the way to salvation.
