Episode 060: Begin With the End In Mind

www.JeffHeggie.com

In the past I’ve talked about how your RAS (Reticular Activating System) works when it comes to the habitual questions you are asking yourself. If you have not heard me talk about that, go back and listen to previous episodes, or go to www.JeffHeggie.com and scroll down to the bottom of the home page. Under the heading of ‘Books’ you can get your FREE copy of Fear to Fuel eBook. In my chapter you’ll be able to read about the RAS and the habitual questions you ask yourself.

Your RAS helps you to filter out distractions and focus on things that are important to you. It’s the system that makes you recognize someone wearing the same new dress that you just bought. It’s what makes you recognize when you see other people driving the same car that you just bought when you had never seen that car around before.

Whenever you start a new task and you ‘begin with the end in mind,’ your RAS can help you to identify the things that will help you to accomplish that task because it knows that it’s something important to you.

Listen to this episode to learn more about it and leave me some comments and let me know what you think.
