In this episode, we sit down with Dana Christopherson and talk about hand lettering, illustration, and her role as a designer/art director at Target Creative. She shares with us her journey as a designer and what it was like going from a small art team at a museum to working at Target Creative.
Dana is a designer, letterer, and illustrator based in Minneapolis. Currently, she is a designer and art director at Target Creative where she has worked on projects such as gift cards, seasonal signage, artist partnerships and murals, and seasonal campaigns. On nights and weekends, you can catch Dana hand lettering, dreaming of painting murals, and starting too many projects that will eventually overwhelm her. Outside of the art + design world, you can find her paddleboarding (when it isn't -20 degrees out), eating popcorn, and snuggling with her cat, Kevin.
Dana also has a passion for non-profit work and currently has an Etsy shop featuring her illustration work, and all of the proceeds go directly to various organizations close to her heart.
