Dance Place Radio

Two episodes in, and the series is a great interview-based podcast and wonderful resource for the DC community. Christopher & Amanda ask great questions and inject welcome bits of humor as we learn about the life and work of the artists. If you like personal stories and like hearing about the creative process, I think this podcast will speak to you, regardless of how involved in dance you might be. I also think it's brilliant to have this podcast in tandem with the shows so that you can see the work that is being talked about! But even without seeing the shows, (sadly I've been n/a for both corresponding shows) I've found the interviews enlightening and entertaining. One note : the audio seems very quiet to me making it hard to hear sometimes.

A little long for my taste, but excellent content. It's always enlightening to get into the mind of artists and how they create their work.

Thoughtful questions and commentary by hosts Christopher K. Morgan and Amanda Blythe. First episode with Cynthia Oliver exceeded expectations with lively conversation and Oliver's invaluable insight into performance making. Looking forward to hearing more and getting the inside scoop from artists coming through Dance Place!
