Useful, hard to listen to
I am listening to this as an introduction to the South, as I will be moving there soon, possibly to Birmingham. As someone who is more used to mainstream media, and has lived in both MA and CA in recent years, I know I am not frequently exposed to voices like his, and that is why I am still subscribed. However, I find it tiring to hear the flagrant lambasting of Biden (the host frequently asks questions of guests that seem to assume the worst of the President, and guests actually disagree with that assumption). I appreciate a reasoned critique from a conservative perspective, and want to hear more from an Alabama-centric one, but too often this host seems to just riff through various insults instead of discussing issues. I have been slowly finding other and more objective Birmingham/Alabama news sources, to my relief. I do appreciate hearing about local events happening, which give me a sense of the community I may soon call home. I suppose I am not the intended audience for this podcast, but I wish it were easier to listen to. Unfortunately, it seems to be both polarized and polarizing and not helping to bridge the terrible divide that exists in our political/ideological spaces in this country. I’d love to see him take a more conciliatory tone, it might help.
