Danielle Herzlich Recalibrated

    • Christianity

Danielle Herzlich is an Army veteran, fitness expert, and a survivor of abuse.

In this conversation, she opens up about the effect years of abuse in her formative years as well as abusive relationships later in life had on her.

She also talked about healing, advocating for victims of abuse, parenting, adoption, and surrendering to God.

"Healing is an ongoing journey," she said.

She served as the victim advocate for the state of New Jersey where she handled sexual assault cases for the state.

She opened up about how she never felt angry at God for her past experiences because she was too busy just feeling angry in general. She credits her anger for actually drawing her near to God.

She cited Ephesians 4:26, which says, "In your anger do not sin; Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry."

Danielle said her mom was her rock and was a light amidst darkness.

"My mom showed me how to be the hands and feet of Jesus before I ever knew Him," she said.
