DCP Ep 15 - Mike Michalowicz - New Book 2020 Sneak Peak - Fix This Next

When new business owners ask me what business books I recommend to ensure their success, rarely do I forget to mention Mike Michalowicz.

Who is Mike Michalowicz? He's a 5-time business author and appeared on CNBC, Entrepreneur Magazine, and the Wallstreet Journal to name a few.

On this episode of the Danny Carlson Podcast, he shares 3 key concepts from his new book Fix This Next, newly available now on Amazon or at https://www.fixthisnext.com

I'm listening to the Audible version as I'm typing this!

The books that had the biggest impact on me growing my agency Kenji ROI to a sizable 6 figure business with smooth operations are.

    Profit First

Profit First accounting is a dead simple but very effective way for business owners to clearly see the financial health of their business. So many of my mentors have recommended this book that I had no choice but to go through it and implement.

    Clockwork

This book is a roadmap to systematizing your business to the point where you could step away for a 2 months vacation and come back with the business still running. Whether you want to do that or not, it will force you to build a business to the point where it can run without you, which is a healthy business!

DCP EP 14 - Gavin Dantez - Practical Steps to Build a Limitless Mind & a 7 Figure Business

DCP EP 14 - Gavin Dantez - Practical Steps to Build a Limitless Mind & a 7 Figure Business

Every so often you meet someone who just outworks everyone else in every aspect of their life.

I was introduced to Gavin Dantez by my girlfriend, who was training him in stretching, & told me he went from stiff guy to splits in 3 weeks... crazy!

His story reflects that work ethic in the business realm as well. After building a multi-million dollar e-commerce business, he felt unfulfilled, so he launched a platform teaching people how to get the most out of their brains.

Limitless Masterclass is the result of his mission to find his purpose after his e-commerce success.

He's graciously offered you guys a discount code. I'm not an affiliate, just a discount for you guys, and knowing the depth Gavin goes to on mindset I can vouch for this program! Gavin is a buddy of mine and my girlfriend  @bali.body

DCP EP 13 - Jason Campbell of Mindvalley - Fulfillment, Travel, & Romance as a New Age Digital Employee

Most people think you need to be an entrepreneur or freelancer to travel the world as a digital nomad.

But Jason Campbell is a longtime Mindvalley employee that has earned himself the freedom to live in Bali with his drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend & work on entrepreneurial projects of his own on the side.

Breaking the paradigm of what it means to be an employee, Jason shares his journey into the unknown and how he's managed to build his lifestyle of freedom and fulfillment while working for a big company.

As my own personal Mindvalley review, I can vouch for the companies' excellent courses, and Jason Campbell has been featured in lots of inspiring and educational Mindvalley content over the years.

DCP EP 12 - Maneesh Sethi - SHOCKING Away Bad Habits | Pavlok's Founder

DCP EP 12 - Maneesh Sethi - SHOCKING Away Bad Habits | Pavlok's Founder

Maneesh Sethi is famous as the most-watched episode of Shark Tank ever where he was ridiculed by the Sharks, but now has an 8 figure e-commerce brand on his hands.

He's one of the most radical thinkers I've ever met in the e-commerce space and is pushing innovative e-commerce business models like renting high-end physical products as a subscription.

His brand Pavlok produces wearable devices that SHOCK the user to interrupt bad habits, wake up on time, stop smoking, or other programmable shocks.

Users are rewarded daily with the chance to win cash prizes if they are hitting their goals and Maneesh Sethi plans to eventually give away $1,000,000 prizes to lucky Pavlok users.

Being a radical deep thinker, we go deep on behavioral psychology and as someone who has gone through many years and iterations of his innovative product, Maneesh has a crazy amount of wisdom on the subject.

DCP EP 11 - Troy Christopher Plota - 50yr Old Digital Nomad Makes $200k in 2 Weeks | Plotaverse App CEO

DCP EP 11 - Troy Christopher Plota - 50yr Old Digital Nomad Makes $200k in 2 Weeks | Plotaverse App CEO

Troy Christopher Plota has 2.5 million followers on his own app, which made $200k in sales it's first two weeks.

Breaking the mold of what's expected of a 50 year old, he moved to Bali to run his company remotely as a digital nomad.

But he also breaks the mold of a traditional tech startup founder, as he has no tech background whatsoever. He was a photographer for 25 years before starting the Plotaverse App.

Seeing the photography industry rates start to decline, he started looking for other ways to capitalize on his 25 years of photo experience.

He's now negotiating collaborations with GoPro and Facebook, but how did he grow so elegantly in such a unique way?

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, and a lot of it came down to luck (such as launching an iPhone version against his team's better judgement), but there are moments of greatness to be learned from his journey.

This is the story of Troy Christopher Plota.

DCP Ep 10 - Danny Carlson - My Conscious Break Up & Processing Pain

DCP Ep 10 - Danny Carlson - My Conscious Break Up & Processing Pain

Breakups are hard, but why do some people wallow in misery for years while others seem to easily move on?

I've been on both sides of the fence but my most recent relationship ending came with so much wisdom gained on how to transition things smoothly.

Check out the episode about my Relationship Closing Ritual: https://www.dannycarlson.co/ep-6-my-relationship-closing-ritual/

Just a few months after our breakup and closing ritual, we are at a place where we can meet for lunch and not have weird energy towards each other.

We still do acroyoga together whenever we see each other, and even partnered for a weekend intensive workshop... and it felt good, just like a close friend rather than awkwardly avoiding each other & projecting negativity.

I've learned a lot about how it's totally possible to honor and respect a failed relationship and how your relationship to that person can take on a different form.

There is a process and specific sequence of steps I used that for me helped me mentally make this transition as successful as it's ever been for me.

Yes it took a bit of explaining to my new girlfriend why I was messaging and playing acro with my ex, but she actually thinks it's inspiring how we can both interact with each other this way.
