This podcast is so great! It’s easy to relate to regarding the dating scene in Provo and give great tips on how to navigate it all. Some episodes are baaed on funny stories, others a bit more serious, so there’s a great variety!
It’s just dinner, but to get a seat at the table, you have to be the perfect man.

Edit 8-28-24: Still no real change. Trends are consistent with previous analysis. If you are a genuinely kind man looking for actual positive help towards gaining confidence or better dating techniques, this podcast probably isn’t going to help. In fact it will probably make you feel worse. If you are an ignorant man that treats woman without respect and are confused as to why you are not getting return dates, this podcast is definitely for you. (But you probably aren’t listening to it anyway.) If you are a woman wanting to reaffirm the bias that everything wrong with dating is the man’s fault, you’ll very much enjoy this podcast. Some data to back these conclusions up: - 4 of the podcast episodes are on “bad dating stories”. These episodes consisted of 4-6 stories each. Only 2 stories out of all 16-24 stories were from the perspective of men. And the male perspective stories, after being retold, were downplayed by the hosts as “I have a hard time believing that happened.” or by criticizing the male in the story as the one at fault. - The episode where they review dating profiles of men (Jan 14th 24) is a giant roasting of several profiles, and by association of the hosts, the male gender. “You guys just need to do better.” The only man’s profile that they “allowed” the women to message still only got a “B-“ by their standards. At the end of the episode the hosts claimed they were going to do a follow up episode the next week on female profiles. This has yet to happen. - In the mutual app episode (March 1st 2024) “There’s a problem and it’s us [male gender]”. - The latest episode title "Young Men - Step it up." Another bashing session on why men need to "step it up" and be what they were "meant to be". Additional take-aways from some other episodes as a man: - You’re probably too nice. - You’re probably too much of a jerk - Your dating profile has too many pictures. - Your dating profile doesn’t have enough pictures. - Your dating profile has the wrong pictures. - Your dating profile doesn’t have the right pictures. - You have too much info on your profile. - You don't have enough info on your profile. - Don't date too many people. - You have to date hundreds. - You’re too forward. - You’re not forward enough. - Make sure you call it a date. - Don't call it a date. - etc… etc… Please. With a list of qualifications like that: Do you really think the women are the only ones asking themselves "What's wrong with me?" I want this podcast to succeed. I am grateful for the effort you are making to publish it. I do think the dating problem is very real. But please try and look past symptoms and stereotypes and find the true illnesses afflicting the dating population. This might mean that you need to listen more and talk less.
