Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen loves talking about music almost as much as he loves making it. From MTV-era super-stardom to his ongoing gig as band leader of the all-star ensemble In the Pocket, he’s got plenty of stories to share. Join him and longtime Philadelphia-area entertainment writer Andy Vineberg for in-depth conversations with some of Philly’s finest musicians, as well as some nationally known acts. If you love hearing the stories behind the songs from the people who lived them (with an occasional side dish of sports and pop culture talk), this is the show for you. in-the-pocket.simplecast.com

Great Stories from the Philly Rock Scene!
I just started listening to this after watching In The Pocket perform Young Americans. Great stories from Philly legends! Can’t wait to listen to the rest! Great job by all😎
Great insights from a music veteran. Entertaining, insightful and just a great amount of fun!
I love this Podcast. Been a Hooters fan as long as I can remember. I was blown away by the Pierre Robert interview. I grew up listening to WMMR and Pierre was my favorite. I just met him last year after the DropKick Murphys show at Festival Pier. To hear him talk about WMMR and the special relationship the station has with Philly was awesome. My son is a huge music lover, and appreciates all genres. We don’t live close enough to Philly to get WMMR in clearly but we come to town often for concerts and games so 93.3 is always on then. I’m having him listen to this episode as soon as he gets home from work. Can’t wait for the Hooter’s show in November. Keep up the good work guys!!
