Day 72 || Silence Won't Kill Ya Make Your Damn Bed

    • Self-Improvement

Day 72 - Most people are not comfortable in silence. We often feel awkward or even an unmentioned pressure to fill the silences in almost a performative way. That said, silence can be incredibly powerful. In both casual conversations and intense negotiations - it can signify a sense of confidence and comfortability and contentment. How comfortable are you with the silences? Do the lulls in conversation stress you out? Or - do they allow you a moment to process what was previously said? Do silences make you feel pressure to perform or do they allow you a moment to reconnect with the speaker? When you’re conversing with others, check to see if you are really listening to the words as they are said or if you are simply waiting for your turn to respond and speak in return.
Make Your Damn Bed is a real talk, daily motivation podcast to play while you make your bed every morning. Each season is 66 days long to incorporate a healthy habit of your choosing into your daily life. Build momentum - better your life.
