This is an old episode of Daytime Justice, the old pod, that is more relevant now with this new format. Also, reality is on a downswing. The only reality show that's water-cooler talk worthy is 90 Day Fiancee. Personally, I am in love with Magic for Humans. Anything Tim and Eric does is brilliant. But I digress! This is a really great conversation with Deborah about the demands made of producers of reality TV shows.

TV Producer and Casting Producer Andy Hirsch is finally on the podcast!

TV Producer and Casting Producer Andy Hirsch is finally on the podcast!

Andy has had an incredible career as a producer, casting producer, and talent booker and he's still got more years ahead of him! Everyone loves Andy because he's great at what he does and is a joy to be around. He has the BEST stories, especially if you're a fan of talk shows, those dating shows that were everywhere in the early 2000's, and court shows. We still have more to talk about so he'll be back very soon!

    Mini-sode from Austin, Texas!

I'm in the heart of Texas producing comedy specials at Esther's Follies on 6th street. What a joy it has been to be "home" and to have the best time with some amazing comedians who are my friends and colleagues in comedy back in L.A.

On the road in Washington D.C. anything can happen! And it does!

On the road in Washington D.C. anything can happen! And it does!

One of the fun things about TV Production is you get to go on the road. Sometimes it's torture, sometimes it's great. In this case, it's pretty great. Since I couldn't get anyone on the show to do the podcast (and I explain why in the episode) I went to Lafayette Park and experienced the shit show that is there. I interviewed people and caught a fight between a DTJ impersonator and a Jesus freak. Enjoy!

Throwback to the episode w/Nyasha Smith about The Hot Dog Case on Judge Joe Brown

Throwback to the episode w/Nyasha Smith about The Hot Dog Case on Judge Joe Brown

When you book a case on a court show about a hot dog, you're going to be producer of the week! My friend Nyasha found the strangest case and she was able to convince the litigants to have Judge Joe Brown hear their case. We talk about all the craziness we encountered on that show and on Divorce Court. We're both still single. I don't know anyone from DC who is in a healthy relationship OR is married. Not. One. There's a reason.

Sharon is awesome and so is the show!

I love this podcast and Sharon. She is so laid back and has that cool podcast voice. I was late to discoverying the show. In fact, I only learned about it after taking a podclass she taught, since then I have been listening back to older episodes and I love how consistent and natural she is. Her Anthony Bourdain tribute episode was very sweet and I look forward to this show each week.

Smart, funny & informative - and the podcast is great too! If you enjoy learning how the sausage is made then you need to subscribe to this delightful peek behind the TV curtain. Thanks to Sharon's charm & wit every interview is so much fun you wish it could go on forever. I feel like I learn something new every week and I'm already working in TV! I can't wait for the next episode.
