DC Studios Showcase: The Official Podcast

So far I’ve been enjoying the podcast for what it is. At times it can feel a bit lost when they try to wrap it up. Overall though it is entertaining and enjoyable.

From the start, Frankey, Tyler, and Coy are an awesome podcast crew and they put on amazing program. Fun, relatable, knowledgeable, and being themselves, these three host amazing guests, catch you up on DC cinema, and teach newbies the lore from the comics with real experts. Perfect for deep cut / die hard fans or the causal watcher, DC STUDIOS SHOWCASE is one of my go-to podcasts. I love watch on MAX! You’ll often hear us source the show on our podcast Mostly Superheroes. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait for the next episode!

This is a great podcast, even for people who do not read comics on a regular basis. The mix of the hosts is great because two of them are very well-versed in the DC comics universe and one is newer to the Comics universe. Together they have great discussions That tied together the DC comics as well as the other media that comes out from DC.

What is it like to get paid to talk about something you know nothing about? That's the burning question for co-host Tyler Coates, who has zero knowledge about DC. From not knowing the character Cyborg to 'those pointy things Batman throws' (they are called Batarangs, Tyler), each episode typically contains at least one jaw-dropping lack-of-knowledge bomb from the unqualified Coates. For an official (supposedly professional) podcast, there is no justification for Coates being present. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of knowledgeable podcasters, streamers, and broadcasters who could be in that chair, providing knowledge about DC to the audience. Make the audience smarter instead of wondering why one of the co-hosts is so often lost and confused.
