We watched Netflix's new fantasy action movie Damsel, starring Millie Bobby Brown. Did we enjoy the movie? Um...not quite. The Last Airbender Live Action Series - Did The Series Meet Expectations?
Spoiler alert! Amy and Morgan are back this week to discuss the entire first season of the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender. And yes, we watched the whole series. And yes, we’re still not sure who this was for. But we did have expectations (even if we may have lowered them a little) - and we were eager to share our thoughts on whether those expectations were met. During the course of this nearly two hour episode, Amy and Morgan break down the characters, the plot, and the other elements that wove their wave into this series. What did we think about Katara’s complete lack of growth? Did diving headlong into the deeper connection between Iroh and Zuko do the characters justice? Pilot Pod: Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender Live Action - Is It Worth Watching?
It's the episode you've been waiting for! The Legendary Ladies are here with their review of the first episode of Netflix's new Avatar: The Last Airbender series. Each host has seen the full run of the animated series, but each their own connection to the source material. Among a host of other topics, they discuss the changes at the start of the episode and the introduction of the Air Nomads, what they feel about the choices made by the creators regarding Aang's character, and whether or not changes in the plot actually affected the flow of the story. But as they discuss the series, the hosts come to recognize that they may be physically incapable of viewing the series objectively. With the animated series being, to many viewers (and our hosts), quite near perfect, they wonder - what can *this* series do to be more than just..."fine"?

The Legends Live On
While Legends of Tomorrow may have ended, the Legendary Ladies continue to produce entertaining and topical podcasts - from first impressions of various TV pilots, representation, the state of media, to other quirky and fun subjects. The heart of the podcast is the chemistry between Kat, Amy, and Morgan. I came for Legends, but stayed for the Legendary Ladies!

Yes, this review title is an inside joke to the podcast, and if you are intrigued, go listen to the podcast! While I unfortunately did find this podcast until the end of S5, I’ve been consistently tuning in since! The ladies are not only hilarious, and you can tell the close rapport that has formed between them, but very open and inclusive as well, taking time to talk through the social issues and representation that is so important and a part of the fabric of Legends, and I don’t get them with some other Legends podcasts. The hiatus and other episode are always fun as well, as are the extra Patreon episodes. They are always trying new things, just like the show.
Now that Legends has ended, I’m glad that the ladies have decided to continue the podcast and branch out into other subjects that interest them. They have covered some Pilot pods, horror movies, other DC material, and even do their own competitions and games with each other. Lots of history lessons (both actual and Kat’s version) and knowledge of various subjects to be found here! For a fun time while washing your dishes or going on long drives, give these Legendary Ladies a listen!
