Lake activists outraged over a minister's grand housing plan on 'dead lakes'

Karnataka Housing Minister V Somanna's recent statement on building houses on dead lakes had triggered an uproar among lake activists.

The activists and the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority later clarified that there is nothing called a dead lake.
